Skye Cable XIII Inc., was granted the permit by the
State of Connecticut to provide Community Television to the Greater Waterbury area on April 15, 1998. We have provided meaningful Community Television to the city of Waterbury and the towns of
Prospect, Wolcott, Middlebury, Terryville and Plymouth for nearly twenty-five years. We provide access to non-profit organizations and members of our community to produce television programming to the community access users. Additionally we provide education and training to individuals who are interested in learning all aspects of video production.
Skye Cable XIII has successfully created and implemented the “Skye High Media Club” for children and teens ages 6-18 who wish to learn all aspects of producing their own television programs including directing, camera operations, portable equipment, character generation and editing. Skye also offers our “ Video Production Boot Camp” to adults interested in developing skills and knowledge in the field of video production. We have successfully certified hundreds of adults and children over the past twenty-four years.
Skye Cable is committed to providing a platform for diversity, inclusion and freedom of expression. We pride ourselves in giving back to the community with love and gratitude every step of the way. It is our goal to continue to expand our resources to provide bright futures for all involved.
